Unlike most other YXZ Turbo Kits, the DLP Turbo Kit comes fully tuned.  No need to mess around with piggy back adaptors or paying another shop to do your tuning.  We flash the Yamaha ECU with our own in house tuning files.  

The tune is the most important aspect of any turbo kit.  Our tuner has been building, designing and tuning performance cars on-road and off for over 20 years at our sister company Beyond Redline Performance.  Don't trust your YXZ engine to auto-tuning or companies who don't even offer a tune with their kits.

DLP tunes are in every Pro-Turbo in the Champ-Off Road Series as well as many YXZ's in other classes.  Other teams like Greaves Motorsports entrusts their tuning to Dirt Launch Powersports.

  • TD04 Turbo - we choose this turbo size for the most mid-range punch without sacrificing the top end
  • 150 horsepower at the rear wheels Stage 1
  • 200 horsepower at the rear wheels Stage 2
  • Made In The USA - Many of the components like the Intercooler and Manifold are made in house at our Green Bay facility
  • Large air / air intercooler with SPAL fan.  This is the same intercooler on our Stage 3 and has been tested upwards of 400hp
  • Stage 2 includes DLP 530cc Injectors, boost controller and Stage 2 tune
  • Exhaust: Includes a turbo downpipe designed to work with any YXZ slip-on, like the Vance & Hines YXZ Muffler

Notes for Engine and Drivetrain Components

  • Connecting Rods: 2016 - 2018 YXZ engines have weaker connecting rods than 2019+.  See our upgrade options above for both Stage 1 and 2
  • Clutch - Stock is adequate for Stage 1.  We highly recommend upgrading the clutch for Stage 2
  • Valve Buckets / Lifters.  Stock buckets have shims that can kick out at high RPM under boost.  This results in dropping a valve and other damaged engine parts.  Our Shimless buckets solve this problem.  Shimless buckets or some equivalent valvetrain upgrade required for Stage 2

Gasoline Options

  • Stage 1 Tuned for 91-93 Octane
  • Stage 2 Tuned for 97+ Octane on Stock Compression - Hi / Low Boost Switch allows you the option to choose on the fly between high and low boost
  • Stage 2 Tuned for 91-93 Octane with 9.5:1 Compression.  See our engine upgrade options above

Donaldson Intake Upgrade

  • Increases your filter capacity without sacrificing power.  Comes with the necessary hardware and fasteners for installation with either Stage 1 or 2 kits.

Clutch Upgrade Options

  • Manual (3-pedal): Upgraded pressure plate and springs
  • Sport Shift: Installing a stronger pressure plate can burn out the clutch actuator (very expensive).  Our Sport Shift Clutch Kit comes with a stronger pressure plate and upgraded clutch actuator matched to our pressure plate.  You send in your actuator to be modified.  Also comes with our DLP tune for the MCU.
