The gear reduction is applied equally across all 6 speeds.
The DLP gear kit for the 2024 changes the 2.25 Middle gear ratio to 1.88
This will increase the top speed of all 6-forward gears by 19.6%
No case modifications required. Remove the middle drive gear cover, the new gears slide on in place of the old gears.

Gear change for 2024 yxz1000r manual
I love this kit for my yxz! If you're trying to build a yxz that keep up at the high speeds then this is the kit for you. I paired this with larue differential that has a gear multipler and the top speed is in 100 mph area. I plan to get another once they have it available for my ss model. Definitely recommend a turbo setup with this gearing as you can't fully use 6th on unstable terrain as its too much for the stock power. Overall I recommend this if you like to cruise at higher speeds and want smoother rpms instead of it revving up really fast, especially with a turbo build.
