For many riders, the 2024 Yamaha YXZ 6-speed transmission is geared too low across the board. The Dirt Launch Powersports Yamaha YXZ Gear Ratio Kit is designed to fix that.
This Yamaha YXZ performance upgrade changes the factory middle gear ratio from 2.25 to 1.88, increasing the top speed of all six forward gears by 19.6% while keeping the power where you need it.
Instead of running out of gear or bouncing off RPM too quickly, your YXZ will carry speed through every gear more efficiently. It’s a noticeable improvement whether you’re in the dunes, on the track, or pushing the car harder in open terrain.
This is a direct replacement upgrade built for strength and reliability in high-performance applications. Installation is straightforward with no case modifications required. Remove the middle drive gear cover and replace the factory gears with the DLP gear set.
These gears are specifically designed for 2024+ Yamaha YXZ transmissions and will not fit 2016–2023 models.
For Sport Shift models, a Speedometer Calibration Device H3 from 12 O’Clock Labs is required to correct the speedometer after the ratio change. This device is automatically added when selecting the Sport Shift option.
